Hello, everyone!! Hope y’all are having an epic day full of sunshine and good books! For today’s book tag I will be doing the Never Have I Ever book tag! So, let the expos-ation (that’s a word, right?) begin.
I originally saw this on Madame Writer a couple weeks ago. So, shout out to her for creating this tag back in 2018! Go check out her blog now, please! She has some great stuff!

Never Have I Ever…read a later book in a series before reading the first book
Okay, the only time I ever did this was when I read River Secrets by Shannon Hale. The thing is that I was in the children’s section in the library (Don’t judge me. Books in that section are good, too. In fact, I’ve found some GREAT books there.) and I found River Secrets. (It wasn’t supposed to be in that section. The library had a little mix-up.) I read the back of it and was like, “Hmm, this seems like a good book.” It wasn’t until I started reading the book that I realized it was part of a series. Of what I can remember, that is the only time I’ve read a later book in a series before reading the first book.
Never Have I Ever…burned a book
Heck no, people!! Who would do something like that??!!! (Well, other than Amy.)
Never Have I Ever…read a book I knew I would hate
I know I have, I just can’t remember what the book was called.
Never Have I Ever…wrote a fanfiction about my favorite books
No. I’m not really an author. However, whenever there is a book, movie, TV show I love, I will write a poem about it. I wrote a full on epic after watching the Hobbit about Tauriel. I have also written many about the Lord of the Rings and The Wingfeather Saga books. I think I may have a problem. Haha! 😉
Never Have I Ever…loved a book when I was young, yet hated it when I got older
No, not really. There are books that I’ve read when I was younger and then reread when I got older and am like, “Okay, if I read had originally read this book at the age I am now, I don’t think I would like it. However, since I read this a long time ago, it now has nostalgic memories linked to it, thus, making me really like it.” Does that make sense?
Never Have I Ever…dressed up as one of my favorite literary characters
Only once. I can’t remember who I was, but it was fun!
Never Have I Ever…hated a book by an author I love
No. Never.
Never Have I Ever…gone into a bookstore to buy one book and come out with many more
No, I have not. I was very greatly tempted, but I managed to control myself. 😉
Never Have I Ever…read the ending of a book before reading the beginning
Not intentionally. Sometimes I will look to see how many pages or chapters are in the book, so I’ll flip to the end and sometimes get spoilers, but never intentionally. I know one lady who does this and I find it utterly disgraceful. Haha!
Never Have I Ever…read I book without the dust cover
It depends. If it is a library book, then no! However, if it is a book that I own and the dust cover is falling off and driving me insane, then yes, I will without shame. Heck, it is my book I know how to treat it well without the dust cover. 🙂
Now for my added prompt:
Never Have I Ever…skim read nearly half a book
Honestly, yes. *sheepish grin* I will skim read SOME books that I am not completely enthralled by looking for parts that seem interesting or have my favorite character in them. In my opinion, if you haven’t done this, then you’re probably lying. Haha!

Thanks for reading my book tag, all you awesome people! God bless!

I love your answers! And oh my gosh, I have skimmed half of so many books! Especially when I start a book, get fifty pages in, realize I don’t like it, and then determine to finish it but skim most of it. This was such a fun tag to create and I’m glad you enjoyed it as well!

Thanks! I sure did have a lot of fun with it! Thank you so much for creating it! Ikr, I’ve skim read plenty of books. Haha! You shouldn’t find any shame in setting down a book in dislike. 😉 I will do this actually a lot with Dear America books because only a few have actually interesting characters. Thanks for reading and commenting! xoxo

I do DNF quite a few books, but if I’m already like one hundred pages in or halfway through, I feel like my reading has gone to waste if I don’t finish. I know, I’m weird.

Not THAT weird. 😉 I totally get, though. xoxo
