Choose Your Fellowship Book Tag!!!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!!!!!!! (Oh, yeah, hope y’all are doing great, blah, blah, blah….;) Haha!) I am SO excited for this LOTR tag!!! I saw it the other day on Jess’s blog called Jessticulates and was like, “I’ve got to do this.” So, here I am!

However, this tag was originally created by Beth@BookNest.

Honestly, I’m kinda surprised with myself that I didn’t just Google “LOTR book tags” before seeing this, but…..ikr

Anyway, here we go!

Frodo – A book you’re not quite sure you like or not

Haha! This prompt’s description for Frodo is spot on. πŸ˜‰

A book I’m not quite sure I liked or not was Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon. It was kinda stale..and too drawn out. I mean, when Sarah was telling her story was an interesting part…but other than the characters, it was kinda just “meh”. I remember liking it after reading it, but thinking back…I have mixed emotions about it.

Sam – A book you’ll always be loyal to

You guys probably already know. It’s The Lord of the Rings. This is a timeless classic that will forever be near and dear to my heart no matter what other’s opinion of it is. I LOVE it! I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t read it to read it!

Pippin – A book you want to re-read

The Penderwicks At Last by Jeanne Birdsall, The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Warden and the Wolf King by Andrew Peterson, The Weaver Series by Lindsay A. Franklin…the list goes on and on. If there is a book that I really like, I am going to read it TEN THOUSAND TIMES OVER. I just am. So there. πŸ˜‰

Merry – A book about friendship

In a big way, LOTR already is a book about friendship. See that is one thing about LOTR that I love so much is that it has one BIG plot, but quite a few side plots that don’t take away from the story or confuse it. Instead, they round-out the story more. It’s so good!

Aside from LOTR though, I’d have to say If the Shoe Fits by Jane B. Mason.

Aragorn – A book with a hero/heroine to swoon over

Um, Aragorn first of all, but also almost all of G.A. Henty’s books have an awesome, swoon-worthy, and manly main character with an awesome moral compass that definitely deserves such a title. I’m specifically referencing Henry from In the Reign of Terror.

Legolas – The biggest book on your TBR

I honestly don’t know. I looked at my Goodreads TBR, but that was so extensive that I couldn’t find it. I also couldn’t find the biggest book on my manual TBR. Overall, I don’t really judge a book by its amount of pages, nor does it effect my decision…usually. πŸ˜‰

Gimli – A short but fun read

All of the American Girl books, well, all of the older ones at least. (The newer ones are a little crappy to me.) I used to read those ALL THE TIME! I loved them so much. (My favorites were Kirsten and Addy.) Please, comment below if you’ve read them. I don’t feel like enough people know about them even though they’ve been around for years!

Boromir – A series in which you never made it past the first book

I can’t really think of one…I usually stick to my reads. I have an impressive score of not being able to finish only 1 book. I’m still pretty proud of that. πŸ˜‰

Gandalf – A book that made you think about your life, the universe, and everything once you finished it

Kisses From Katie by Katie Davis. This was such a good book not because the writing was perfect or the telling real, but because of the realism. Katie Davis is an amazing woman who, after graduating high school, dedicated her life to serving the Lord in Uganda. She helped at a local school to teach little children how to read, write, and cipher. Pretty soon, she found herself adopting child after child. Kisses from Katie is a personal look into her thoughts on her journey as a missionary momma. It made me cry and made my heart hurt. It truly moved me and made me question myself and this world. Just to think that every time I throw away leftovers, there is a family who could’ve eaten that who haven’t eaten in days. Every time I accidentally get warm water in my bottle instead of cold, and DUMP IT OUT, there is someone who has been drinking warm brown water for their whole life. It is proven that there are enough resources on the earth to provide generously every hungry, tired, and thirsty body. What ends up happening is some of us have too much while others have none. When are we going to stop it? However, it doesn’t end in resources. What about kindness and love? Let us all make a difference like Katie did.

I tag anyone who would like to do this tag, whether or not you’ve seen/read Lord of the Rings. Have fun!

Well, that’s all for today y’all! Hope you liked this tag! Go check out both Beth’s and Jess’s blogs. God bless!

Which LOTR character are you? Have you read Lord of the Rings? Let’s chat in the comments.

With my eyes closed, I will touch a familiar book and draw its fragrance deep inside me. This was enough to make me happy.

    1. Thanks! Beth did make good prompts! I had a lot of fun doing this one! I hope you will do it too!
Wait, huh? Maybe I am just SERIOUSLY drawing a blank, but what do you mean “challenge question”? Sorry if I’m drawing a blank. πŸ˜‰ Thanks for reading and stopping by, D. I always enjoy your commentary.

      1. I tried sending you a friend request on Goodreads and it sent you were accepting only friends who could answer a question. It was a one word answer for the question ‘Speak friend and enter.’ I tried Mellon but it didn’t workπŸ€”πŸ˜‚

Aw, thank you! I love reading your comments too!πŸ’•

      2. Oh, okay! Haha! I’m glad you got the riddle…I don’t know why it isn’t working. I’ll go and try to fix it. Where is your Goodreads button on your blog? I tried to find you but couldn’t.
