Hold onto your hats, people, cause this may be a longer post than that Ultimate Disney Tag I did a while back! I was nominated for four awards in the past month. (WHAT??!!!) I just want to say a HUGE thanks to Tia and Riddhi you were kind enough to nominate me!!
Tia@TallBlondeTales nominated me for my second Liebster Award and Riddhi@WhisperingStories nominated me for the Outstanding Blogger Award, the Black Cat Blue Sea Award, and the Sunshine Blogger Award, and Cherelle@CherelletheBibliophile nominated me for another Liebster Award!! (My goodness.) Thanks again, girls!!
Let’s get into it, shall we?
The 1st Liebster Award

Rules:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you
- Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you
- Nominate 11 bloggers
- Ask your nominees 11 questions
- Notify your 11 nominees
Tia’s Questions:
What is your favorite book and why?
Hmm….Tia, this is probably one of the hardest things you could POSSIBLY ASK ME!!!!! Asking me my favorite book is pretty much asking me “If you could kill all your family members but your favorite, who would be the lucky one to survive?” Haha! Jk
ONE of my FAVORITES is The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. It is just an awesome piece of literature that is profoundly written, thought-provoking, and has strong characters that are also SO loveable. That is just to name a FEW things I love about it!
Which is a movie/book that has influenced you the most? Why is it special for you?
I’ll answer both!!
Okay, two- three- movies that influenced me greatly were The Case for Christ, Little Women (2019 edition), and The Passion of the Christ.
The Case for Christ was SO hard hitting because it was an amazing testimony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Seriously, it is SO great!!!) I LOVED Little Women because it was a perfect representation of sisterhood!!! (There were many tears shed over this movie too!!!) I loved it!!! The Passion of the Christ deeply effected me because it was only a glimpse of the HORRIBLE things Jesus, my Lord and Saviour, endured to give all who asked for it ETERNAL LIFE!!! He died on the cross, having committed NO sin, so that I may have the choice to accept Him as my Lord and Saviour and have eternal life, or reject Him. It is an AMAZING movie that I DEFINITELY recommend.
(Boy, that was a lot of caps and exclamation points. ;))
The books that affected me were (well, the Bible -duh- but I won’t dive into that because that is a whole ‘nother blog why it affects me!) LOTR, A Bloody Book, and Kisses from Katie.
LOTR affected me because it is a phenomenal book!!! It just is. It is a perfect representation of a great book!!! A Bloody Book affected me because it was a look into a world I had never seen from the inside out. It was eye-opening and heart-breaking! Kisses from Katie spoke to me so deeply because it is literally one lady living out what I feel called to do! It encourages me (and breaks my heart) for I see that what I feel called to do CAN be done!!
What’s your go-to pizza toppings?
I’m probably gonna sound like the weirdest American ever right now, but, I don’t really like pizza. The only kind of pizza I like is homemade pizza. Specifically barbeque homemade pizza. Oh my goodness, it is yummy!!
Name your favourite smell and why you love it so much?
Gosh, this is a hard one. Probably the smell of my comforter after it has hung all day in the clean, fresh air. Aahh, it smells SO GOOD!!!!
If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Probably something sensible, like jeans and a T-shirt. I’d have to be durable too…although, I love maxi skirts too, so it would be a hard discussion to make…
What hot beverage best matches your personality?
Hot chocolate….I guess? I’m not really familiar with hot beverages other than coffee and hot cocoa. 😉
If you had to pick one dish to eat forever, what would you pick?
PASTIES, PASTIES, PASTIES!!!!!!!!!
HECK YEAH!!!!
When the weather is really cold, do you prefer going outside and enjoying it (like playing in the snow) or curling up inside with hot chocolate and doing something cozy and relaxing?
Hmm, it really depends. Usually I’d go out and play in it for a while, but then once my fingers froze off and I can’t feel my feet anymore, I’d go inside and warm up by reading and drinking hot cocoa!!!
What was your favourite moment from 2020?
Actually, quite a few. I was actually attending a Marine Boot Camp graduation right when Corona hit this March. It was REALLY COOL!!! (The graduation, not Corona. ;)) One thing that was super cool was when driving home, I was going over big city interstates and being one of two cars for miles!!!! That was AWESOME!!!!!!! Another cool thing was getting reunited with a childhood friend.
Overall, yes, 2020 has been kinda sucky, but if you go back and think about all the good things that came out of it, you realize how much you’ve learned. You learn to enjoy the little things. It’s amazing how in quarantine, the smallest thing brings you such delight!! Just as Corrie Ten Boom’s sister, Betsy, told her to praise God even for the fleas, so should we. 2020 has been a heck of a “flea”, but think back on all the good things that have happened and thank God for them. If you can’t find any, then you aren’t looking hard enough.
If you could have any animal in the world as a companion (mythical creatures included) what would you pick and why?
This is boring, but I want a munchkin kitten!!!!!! Oh. My. Gosh, are they cute!!! Even into adulthood, munchkin cats have these stubby little legs that are so cute!!

Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Neither really. I don’t like going to bed late and I like getting up early, but my body doesn’t like getting up early.
Thanks again, Tia, for the nomination!
My Questions:
- What has been your proudest moment?
- What has been your lowest point? (If you do not wish to share this, that is perfectly fine.)

- What has been something you’ve learned from blogging that you’d like to share?

The 2nd Liebster Award
Cherelle’s Questions:
What was your most recent 5 star read?
The Story Hunter by Lindsay A. Franklin!!!
What is your most anticipated release for 2021?
Wingfeather Tales: Seven Thrilling Stories from the World of Aerwiar!!! It is a book that is a compilation of stories from the world of Aerwiar that is co-wrote by 5 great Christian fantasy authors! I can’t wait!!
What is the first book that comes to your mind when I say “toothpaste”🦷? (p.s. there is no meaning behind this question)
I actually already answered this question in the comments of Cherelle’s post. It’s The Going to Bed Book by Sandra Boynton.
Pair two book characters from two different books/series to make the ultimate ship.
Um….Legolas NEVER GOT A GIRL!!!! WHAT IS UP WITH THAT!!!
I’d pair Legolas up with Enna from Enna Burning. (I know, Enna already has a dude, and I like him, but hey, Legolas would be better.)
What is the one book that you will never get bored of?
Well, there are quite a few LOTR, Little Women, The Wingfeather Saga….the list goes on and on.
Which fictional character (can be books, movies) do you admire?
Aragorn, Gandalf, Sam, and Finnick. (One of these things is not like the other…) Mostly for how willing they are to do ANYTHING for the greater good of one person or a lot of people! Also, because they are so dang loyal!!!
Favorite place to read?
Umm…a chair….
Favorite blog post that you have ever written (add a link as well so I can read it)?
The Weaver Trilogy reviews (The Story Peddler, The Story Raider, and The Story Hunter) or my Frozen Tag.
What is the prettiest book cover that you own?
What would you do if you were invisible for a day?
Eavesdrop on any one’s and everyone’s conversations. Haha! As long as they are interesting conversations. I know it sounds so bad, but if I were invisible, that’s what I’d do. Oh, and assuming that I am invisible even to scanners, computers, etc., I’d sneak around the country and eavesdrop on other people. (That I know, of course. Wait, does that make it more or less evil…? Let me know guys!)
Count the number of letters of “Liebster” + the date you do the tag + the first digit of the page number you stopped at along your bookshelf… tell us which book it lands on! (I fully understand if you want to skip the question)
8+5+1= The Mysterious Benedict Society (Book 1)
Thanks again, Cherelle!!
I’m going to use the same questions and keep the same nominees for this Liebster Award.
The Outstanding Blogger Award

- Link to the creator’s original award post.
- Answer the questions provided.
- Create 7 unique questions.

- At the end of 2020, every blog that ping-backs the creator’s original post will be entered to win the 2020 Outstanding Blogger Award!
Riddhi’s Questions:
What is the one thing you will never do?
You will never, ever see me throw away a book. Never. If I don’t like a book that bad, I’d give it away. Also, I will never EVER wear a bikini publicly. Just the idea of walking around nearly butt-naked IN PUBLIC is enough to make me vomit. Not trying to be mean, just stating how I feel about the undressing of today’s society. It is just GROSS, people!!!
One book you will protect with your life?
I am trying to be willing to do anything for my Savior, Lord Jesus, I pray that when the time comes, I will stand up for the Word of God.
The most tragic moment of your life? (If you do not mind sharing)
Nothing against Riddhi, but I do mind sharing so….I’ll keep that under wraps. 😉
One thing you enjoyed about staying at home for the past few months?
I usually stay at home so, it wasn’t that big of a change for me. Although I enjoyed getting my garden in in time this year!
The one food that you will eat, even on a full stomach?
Pasties or chocolate cake!
One book that you can reread forever and not get bored?
The Lord of the Rings, the Bible, Little Women, and….oh, dang it, I’m forgetting! Well, those would be three of them…even though the question asked for only one…;)
Which post that you have written is your favorite? Share the link as well.
Um….probably either the Weaver Trilogy reviews (The Story Peddler, The Story Raider, and The Story Hunter) or my Frozen Tag.
My Questions:
- What is your favorite way to express yourself?
- What is one thing that you would give anything to do/have/or be?

The Blue Cat Blue Sea Award
What is the Black Cat Blue Sea Award?
This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it, and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.
Rules:
- Anybody nominated can nominate seven (lucky number) other bloggers.
- Anybody nominated answers three questions.
- The questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions.
- If any of the questions asked are offending or the nominee simply does not want to answer them, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award.
Riddhi’s Questions:
What is the one (or more) thing you want to do before you die?
Get married and have a family.
Are you an extrovert or an introvert? What is your favorite thing about being an extrovert or an introvert (whichever you are)?
Oh, introvert, all the way. Simply socializing on my blog is draining for me! Sheesh! (Not that it is you guy’s fault!!! You’re great! I’m just introverted.;)) My favorite thing about being an introvert is how easily (and sometimes) sillily I enjoy the little things! It is not hard to please me. Just give me a packet of seeds. I will plant them in my garden and be happy the whole summer as I watch them grow.
That is just one of MANY ways to please me with the little things.
If you could trade lives with a fictional character, would you do it? And if you had to, whom would you choose?
I’d want to be Annie from the Hunger Games. I love Finnick and he would be the most loyal husband of all time…until….well, if you know, you know. 😦
My Questions:
- Sunshine or rain?
- Why do you think laughter is contagious?
- What was your favorite thing that happened in 2020?
Okay, seeing as I take the compliment of this award very seriously, I choose to nominate (as I did last time) one blogger that I always look forward to reading her stuff. Last time I nominated Introverted Thoughts, (go check out her blog) and yes I still stand by that nomination, but I am going to nominate another.
My Nominee:
Athira is a great blogger who deserves this award! She is always posting BEAUTIFUL poetry, prose, and quotes! Her creativity is absolutely endless and makes from some amazing quotes. You never know what you are going to see next on her blog, but you always relate. I especially love how gritty and hard-hitting she gets. She doesn’t shy from the truth and that is one thing I love about her! Well done, Athira!!! Seriously, go check out her blog!
The Sunshine Blogger Award

What is The Sunshine Blogger Award?
The Sunshine Blogger Award is a blogging community-driven award wherein bloggers nominate their fellow bloggers. Its primordial intent is to bring recognition to bloggers, especially those who fly under the radar, for their inspiring, creative, and motivational blogs.
Rules:
- Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
- Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
- Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.
Riddhi’s Questions:
When and why did you start blogging?
August 12th, 2020. I wanted to be able to let people know that there are plenty of REALLY good books (and some REALLY bad books) out there! I just wanted to let others know about the books I’ve been reading, whether I enjoyed them or not, or whether they’d enjoy them or not. As I said earlier, I am not hard to please. Give me a book, and I’m good. I know that there are others like me out there who just want another good read. I want to give it to them.
Also, I’m sure you guys have noticed that I mainly review YA and children’s books. Why? Because when I was little, my mom had a hard time finding good, wholesome books that I could read. I want other moms, dads, aunts, uncles, and guardians to have a source to find good books for their kids.
What is your favourite thing about blogging?
The creative and influencial outlet it provides me with.
What is your least favourite thing about blogging?
Nothing against my lovely followers and viewers, (ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AGAINST YOU READERS!!! YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!!) but I guess the socializing. Having to reply to people (I know I sound so pathetic) is draining. I like to have in-depth conversations (or no conversations at all). I don’t usually get that in the blogging community. Sorry if anyone takes offense to this. 😉 It IS NOT meant in that way!!
Does anyone else relate to this or am I just weird?
What are your hobbies besides blogging?
Gosh, hanging with my family, painting, writing poems, gardening, playing piano and violin, listening to music, reading Proverbs and James (in the Bible. They are my FAVORITE books!), hairstyling, and going outside. Even when it is 0 degrees. 😉
What would the title of your biography/biopic be?
The One Who Always Thought.
Some advice for people who have just started blogging?
I’d say that you have to make an effort and engage yourself. You have to put yourself out there for people to respond to you usually. All the while setting boundaries and staying true to yourself. Also, don’t be afraid to be yourself. No one wants to read anything from a person who isn’t being themselves. It is boring and bland.
Describe yourself in seven words? (Cause it’s the seventh question)
“Do you think I want to be normal?” (I know it’s eight, but I couldn’t help it!! This is me. You want seven, seven is normal, so I say eight.)
Dogs or Cats?
OH!!!! This is hard!!!! I love both, but I’d have to say cats just so I can aggravate a friend. 😉
A TV show you can binge-watch forever?
Uh….Good Luck, Charlie. Duh.
A song you relate to? / A song you will never get tired of listening?
A song I relate to is A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman.
A song I will never get tired of is Into the Unknown!!
Who is your favourite author?
It’s a toss up between J.R.R. Tolkien, Jane Austen, and Lindsay A. Franklin….(One of these things is not like the other. ;))
My Questions:
- Spring or summer?
- What is your favorite scent?
- What is your least favorite scent?
- What is one thing that gets you triggered or fired up?
- Introvert, extrovert, or ambivert? Was there a certain event that made you one, or were you one straight from the womb?
- Favorite video game/board game/ or out-or-doors game?
- Favorite sport?
- Favorite book? Why?
- Favorite movie? Why?
- What is your favorite thing about the holidays?
- What is one thing you’re looking forward to in 2021?
My Nominees:
- Maggie’s Doodles
- The Cozy Potato
- Eternity Books
- Jessticulates
- Bookworm
- A Curly Sue’s Ramblings
- Anomaly
- Chasing the Maximum Life
- Mirkwood Books

- The whole team at Living the Blogging Life (This includes some of my nominees. So, do what you will, but the best way to do it is, if you were already nominated then just post it on both or on only your blog.)
Wow. Thank you so much to Riddhi, especially, for all the nominations!!!!!!! It means a lot!
(Side note: I reached 50 followers this week!!! Thank you all you lovely people for supporting me!!!)
All of you who stayed through to the end of this post, kudos! That takes some concentration. 😉 Thank you guys for reading! Bye, for now! God bless you guys!
xoxo
Life has no limitations, except the ones you make.

Congratulations on all of your awards! And I love your reasons for reviewing childrens/YA books. It’s often difficult for parents to find appropriate books for their children, that’s for sure! I often take recommendations from fellow bloggers when my kids are looking for new books to read. Oh, and I LOVE that munchkin kitten. So adorable!!! 🙂
