The Thanksgiving Book Tag: #BookTagTuesday

Hey!! Can’t believe it is almost Thanksgiving!!! Hope y’all are doing great!

This is an original tag today! So, I’m excited!

In this tag use only the prompts that are relevant to the foods you eat on Thanksgiving or in the Thanksgiving season. For instance, though I mostly put classic Thanksgiving foods, I also added a few that my family seems to have every time but it doesn’t seem to go. 😉

If you do not wish to alter the prompts, then you may also just do the tag as is.

Pumpkin Pie/Muffins: A book that you always return to at a certain time of year

I really don’t know…I usually like to read Lord of the Rings every year, and since the first time I read it was around Christmas/Thanksgiving, I really want to go read that again.

Turkey: A book that you tried due to its popularity, but found a little bland

I really can’t think of one. I never get around to reading the really popular ones. Plus, any that I do, I usually like.

Gravy: A character whose personality creates more “flavor” in the book

Sarah in Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon. If it weren’t for her, the book would’ve been very bland.

Mashed Potatoes: A book that is such a delicious and enjoyable read

The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson! They are SO good!! Also, Little Women.

“These mashed potatoes are so creamy.”

Stuffing: A filler book in a series

The second book in The Princess Academy Series called Palace of Stone by Shannon Hale was a big let-down and was truly just a filler that was “needed” in between the first and third.

Homemade Bread: A character in a book who perfectly represents the idea of “fresh”

Razo in The Books of Bayern series by Shannon Hale!! He is the best! And so new and fresh! He literally is just like one of my brothers…just small. He actually has his own book called River Secrets!

Deviled Eggs: A book with a misleading title

Probably A Bloody Book by Chris Bowen. It sounds kind “horror-sounding” but it really isn’t. Though it is a hard-hitting gritty book, it isn’t scary. Although, I don’t really know why it is even named that. 😉
