Let’s Talk Bookish: November 27th

Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!!! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and nobody ate until they exploded. 😉

Guess what? Now that Thanksgiving is over that means I can break into impromptu Christmas songs whenever I want!!!!

“‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, la la la la!” Yes!

Let’s Talk Bookish is, as described by one of the creators, as a “weekly meme, hosted by me (Rukky @ Eternity Books) & Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.”.

Do you reread books?

This topic was suggested by Aria @ Book Nook Bits.

Um, yes! I do all the time! I’ve read Little Women 12 times!!

I LOVE to reread books that I enjoy! I love going back into to a favorite world, timeline, or character to see what else I can find to enjoy on top of the original pleasure. It is so interesting.

One thing that is always very interesting for me is, since I now know the plot, I can pick up on a little bit more foreshadowing and irony that I missed the first time.

I also reread books to gather my thoughts about them. A couple of my scheduled/posted reviews have been rereads so that I can officially call out what I liked, what I disliked, and why.

Well, that’s all for today’s and this month’s Let’s Talk Bookish! I can’t wait to embark on December’s journey! Thanks for reading everyone! God bless!

Do you feel rereading books ruins the book or makes it better? Why? How often do you reread books? Do you just reread a few beloved books over and over, or do you only read many books one at a time? Let’s chat in the comments!

Good books don’t give up all their secrets at once.

  1. I absolutely LOVE rereading books! Like you said, we pick up ablot of things we missed the first time. And to me, rereading kind of reminds me of the first time I read that book and it’s incredibly reflective in so many way. Incredible discussion, Millay!

    1. Yeah! Definitely! It can also be very nostalgic, and strange. It is so strange if you reflect on the mindset you had when first reading the book. Thank you, but you should really be thanking Dani and Rukky for creating the discussion. God bless!
