3 Bookish Things: #BookTagTuesday

Hello, everyone!

I was tagged for this tag by the lovely Isha from PaperBackTomes. She has a great blog and has super fun tags and reviews! Definitely go and check her out!

3 Read Once and Loved Authors

Lindsay A. Franklin, Michael Morpurgo, and Angela Cerrito…and Suzanne Collins. Yeah, I know that is four…but I had to throw Suzanne Collins in there cause she isn’t going to be a “once read” kind of author for long. πŸ˜‰

3 Titles I’ve Watched but Not Read

A Series of Unfortunate Events is the only one I can think of…I mean, I’m sure I’ve watched certain movies and haven’t yet realized they were originally a book though.

3 Series I have Binged

The Weaver Trilogy, The Hunger Games, (as binge-y as you can get) and The Lord of the Rings (again, as binge-y as you can with a over 1000 page book).

3 Characters I love

3???!!!!! Are you serious????!!! I can only name THREE?????

Samwise Gamgee is WAY up there…Oh, and Aragorn….Katniss….Janner (from the Wingfeather Saga), Tanwen (The Weaver Trilogy), Finnick….I should stop…cause I’m currently just thinking of favorite books and limiting to my favorites. I could go on for so much longer.

3 Current Favorite Covers

The Story Raider, Tuesdays at the Castle…and….okay, I haven’t read it yet, but I LOVE Fable‘s cover.

3 Weirdest things I’ve used for bookmarks

Sock, wire, and jump rope.

3 Favorite Authors

Again…3????!!! I’m starting to think I shouldn’t have done this tag…*bites nails worriedly*

….ummmmm…..J.R.R. Tolkien, Lindsay A. Franklin, Lousia May Alcott, C.S. Lewis, Chuck Black, L.M. Montgomery, Michael Mupurgo, Andrew Peterson, and Suzanne Collins is getting up there, too!

3 Unpopular Bookish Opinions

I really don’t have any. Certain ones that are REALLY popular to some people aren’t to others. There is so much diversity in the book-loving world that I feel like I’ve run into equal amounts of people who either hate or love a certain topic. One of the things that many people find an unpopular opinion is my love for LOTR…and dislike for Harry Potter. Though I can see why people would like Harry Potter, it is not equal to LOTR!

3 Book Goals For the Year

Read The Hunger Games…MAYBE, (MAYBE) try Harry Potter for the sake of all you die-hard HP fans, and read at least 70 books.

Well, that’s all for today. I still can’t decide if that was fun or agonizing….

What are your “unpopular opinions”? Let me know in the comments! (and maybe start up some fun banter. πŸ˜‰ ) I tag whoever wishes to do it…but I’d love to see Riddhi@WhisperingStories and BookishThinker@PaperHearts try to decide their 3 favorite bookish things. HA! πŸ˜‰

Gtg. God bless you!

  1. I loved reading this post! Michael Morpurgo is one of my once read and loved authors too! I’ll plan to read LOTR soon seeing how much you enjoyed it. This sounds like such a fun tag!

  2. I really enjoyed this post. I am going to use it but I will be tagging your blog to let people know where I found it πŸ™‚
One of my unpopular opinions is that the Harry Potter Movies are better than the Books. If you do decide to read them, I would advise powering through the fourth and the fifth (boring, difficult to read) and then the last books become more enjoyable again.

    1. Oh, thank you!! That does seem like an unpopular opinion…;) I mean, it does seem like the books are better…and I’d much sooner read the books than watch the movies. But, I feel like that is kinda silly reading the whole series because the last 2(?) books are good. If I do decide to read HP, I’ll try to read the whole series to get the full experience though. Thanks for reading and have fun with the tag!

    1. It is! I’m just happy that there is someone else who hasn’t read it yet!! Cause everyone is reading it…and I feel so left behind. 😦 I want to read it so bad! Thanks for reading, Cherelle! Feel free to do this tag! xoxo

  3. Nice! By the way, the Lemony Snicket books are really fast reads. I bought the first three for my kids when they first came out, in hopes my kids would read them. They weren’t interested, but I thought they were fun. I’ve seen the movie and well… its okay. Never saw the TV series though.

    1. Really? That’s kinda sad…but at least there are a lot of them! I haven’t seen the movie, either, but the series is really good! From what I’ve heard about the books, they are fairly similar. Idk, though, I plan to try the books here soon. Hey, at least you got more reading material. πŸ˜‰ Thanks for reading, Davida! xoxo
