Let’s Talk Bookish: May 14th

Hallo, again! LTB time.

Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme, hosted by me (Rukky@EternityBooks) and Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.

“The book is better” is a common outcry amongst book worms, because the book came first…but what about when it didn’t?

The only ones I can think of are the Star Wars prequel books. (I know..really?) But actually the story is pretty good! Sure there are a few plot holes but nearly every book or movie has them. I enjoyed the books far better than the movies since the movies had horrible acting (with a FEW exceptions) and terrible CGI…so, yeah. But that is the ONLY one I can think of.

How do you feel about book adaptations of movies?

They CAN end up pretty good. If it is a good story with good characters, I’m there whether it originally was meant to be a book or not.

Books based on video game worlds?

Uh…I can’t really think of one. I’m not ridiculously fluent in the video game culture, so I wouldn’t really know.

Books that tell alternate stories from television worlds?

Again…not really sure. 😉

Or even books featuring your favorite superheroes?

Do you have any favorites in these genres? Is the book still better?

Well, that was concluded rather quickly. 😉 What about y’all? What is an instance where the movie was better than the book? Lemme know! Thanks for reading! God bless!
