Let’s Talk Bookish: June 4

Hallo!! This one should be pretty good for some tea is about to be spilled…kinda. 😉 I can’t wait to see other’s answers to these prompts, though, too. 🙂

Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme hosted by Rukky@EternityBooks and Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.

WHY DO PEOPLE LIE ABOUT READING BOOKS? (SUGGESTED BY JILLIAN @ JILLIAN THE BOOKISH BUTTERFLY)

Some people will say they have read books when they really haven’t; why do you think that is?

I honestly don’t know. Some will say it to “be cool” or to be able to add to a conversation. But, I feel like there are plenty of people who’ve kinda said that, but are in a completely different circumstance.

Have you ever personally lied about reading a book?

I never said, “Yes, I’ve read this book”, but I’d mention the STORY or characters of the Hunger Games in tags before I actually read them because I’ve seen the movie. So, when a prompt asked, “A character that you relate to” one of my answers would be Katniss because I know she is the same in the books as in the movies.

How do you feel about people who lie about reading books?

The people who lie just to be cool infuriate me no matter what the circumstance is. Lies just infuriate me.

Do you think there’s a certain type of book people are more likely to lie about reading?

Nah, I don’t think so….

Well, that’s pretty much it…I thought I would have had more to say…but I was able to keep it short and spicy for y’all! Have y’all ever lied about reading a book? Why did you lie? Lemme know! Thanks for reading you lovely people! xoxo

God bless!

Ciao.
