LTB time again!
WHAT ARE THE BEST WAYS TO GET OVER READING SLUMPS? (RAFAELA @ THE PORTUGESE BIBLIOPHILE)
Sometimes you just don’t want to read anymore, how do you get back into it?
I will give myself a break, read an old favorite, or I’ll force myself to and I find the spark in a pretty short amount of time. My reading slumps aren’t really that big of a problem. For instance, I am currently reading Gaining His Spurs by G.A. Henty, but I was getting kinda tired of it. I mean, I love Henty, but I’m just not in the mood. Then, I picked up Beauty: A Retelling of Beauty and the Beast and now I want to read more of that kind of stuff. However, I will get tired of reading those kind of books and WILL finish the Henty book. That is pretty much usually how my reading slumps work. Though I do have reading slumps where I don’t read anything for a couple weeks…but those only come like twice a year.
There were more questions to this one, but I was pretty easily able to sum it all up in one answer. 😉 That is just why it looks so condensed and short. How do you all get yourselves out of reading slumps? How often to you even have them? Thanks for reading, y’all! God bless!
