Questions asked by Blondeyonamission

What is your favorite book genre and why?

Historical fiction and fantasy. I’ll pretty much read any book that falls into these genres. However, I’ll pretty much read anything! 🙂

What is at the top of your bucket list and why that?

I don’t really have a bucket list. (Is that unusual?) But, I really would love to go to the Promised Land near the Mediterranean Sea. I would love to go and walk the same places that Jesus walked!!! That would be so cool!!

Which celebrity inspires you the most?

I can’t say that I am that “into” celebs a whole lot…but a few celebrities that I think are pretty cool are Liz Wheeler, and Martin Freeman. Liz Wheeler is so cool! Her pro-life talks are truly inspiring! I really like Martin Freeman a lot because HE IS SUCH A GOOD ACTOR!!!!!!!

What is your favorite time of year and why?

I don’t know if this means season or time of year…I’ll just answer both. My favorite seasons are spring and fall. (Pretty opposite, huh?) My favorite time of year is by FAR Christmas!!!! I love Christmas!

If you could be a mythical creature, what would you be and why?

I’d be a phoenix. They are so cool!!! Cause I love birds…and, HELLO, a phoenix is a fire bird! Who doesn’t love those?

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

I’d want to be slower to anger.

What/who inspires you?

Music inspires me creatively and my mom inspires me to be more like Jesus.

Name your favorite dessert – justify your choice.

CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!! My mom has the best chocolate cake recipe of all time. If you know me, then you know that every single stinking birthday I have chocolate cake for dessert. I’ve had it for every birthday (minus one) since I was 4. It is so good! Sure it isn’t good for you, but sometimes we need those foods that are the equivalent of eating 3 years off your life. They remind us that sometimes we just need to live! (And eat chocolate cake.)

What is the most peaceful sound for you?

A guitar quietly being plucked, or birds chirping.

If you were a superhero, what would your powers be and what would you use them for?

I would want to have the power of being able to fast travel. I’d love to zip to different places to help hurting people or visit old friends!

What dessert would match your personality?

Probably ice cream…I can be cold, but I’m EASY to melt. Haha! (Yeah, I know it is cheesy, but it’s pretty true.)

Now onto Eleanor’s questions from Wishing Upon a Star

What are you looking forward to doing once this pandemic is over and we’re no longer in quarantine?

I’m not quite sure…a lot of things. Well, I really want to be able to go to this DELICIOUS Chinese Buffet we have near us again. I also can’t wait to be able to actually GO INTO THE LIBRARY!! However, I really just would like to be able to go out and not worry about wearing masks and social distancing.

How have you been spending your time lately?

Being outside, reading, playing violin and piano, and blogging…with a few hangouts with friends thrown in.

Favorite TV show, movie, or book you’re bingeing?

Little House on the Praire, The Vanderbeeker series, (I’m loving them!!) and I can’t think of one for movie.

Favorite type of blog post to write?

Okay, my favorites are book reviews and book tags. However, though I love posting poetry I always have a emotional crisis after posting. I just can never decide how comfortable I am with putting my thoughts and feelings out there for the world to see. Does anybody else get that?

Favorite part of creating a post?

Either the aesthetic or the actual getting the post idea down and able to be finalized. I also love posting it and getting the satisfaction of a job well done! 🙂

If you can learn any language, what would it be and why?

I know a little and would love to learn more of Hebrew. I mean, wouldn’t it be so cool to be able to read the original written language of the Bible?!! Also, I’d love to learn Elvish! (Yes, I know I’m geeky! Haha!)

If you could be behind the crew of any book adaption, which would it be and why?

The “why” I will answer first. BECAUSE I DO NOT TRUST OTHER PEOPLE TO ADAPT MY FAVORITE BOOKS AND RUIN THEM FOR ALL OF ETERNITY!!!!!! Ahem. Now I will answer the “which”. I would choose either The Penderwicks, The Vanderbeekers, or The Wingfeather Saga. Thank GOODNESS that the Lord of the Rings and Little Women were adapted into “Millay approved” movies!

Who would you cast as the leads for the adaption of your favorite book?

Oh, boy. Well, you asked Eleanor…but first, I am going to do this as if time is irrelevant. Like I will put kid actors, that are NOT kid actors any more. Cause, ya know, this is my dream list and my dream list is in dreamland. 😉

The Wingfeather Saga: The Warden and the Wolf King

  • Janner = Preteen William Moseley
  • Tink = Matthew Charles Labyorteaux
  • Leeli = Young Millie Bobby Brown
  • Nia = Susan Sarandon
  • Podo = Graham Mctavish
  • Artham = Sam Claflin
  • Sarah Cobbler = Young Dakota Fanning
  • Rudric = (Okay, I don’t have an actor in mind, yet another character who could totally be Rudric. Stoic from the How to Train Your Dragon Series! Like, seriously, they are one and the same.)
  • Gnag = Benedict Cumberpatch

Which fictional world would you want a passport stamp from?

Middle-Earth…duh!

Describe your perfect day in that fictional world.

Attending to my garden outside my Hobbit-hole in the Shire.

Which song could you listen to nonstop for an hour?

Currently, it is “Dear Future Husband” by Meghan Trainor. Ask me again in two days, and I guarantee you it will be different. 😉

Well, that’s all for the Liebster Award nominations. I’d love to thank Wishing Upon a Star and Blondeyonamission again for nominating me! Thanks a bunch, girls!

Wishing Upon a Star also nominated me for the Blue Cat Blue Sky Award. “This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it, and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.”

I’m so glad that, in the little time I’ve been part of this blogger community, that readers find my work inspirational and interesting. Thank you, Eleanor!

Rules:

  • Anybody nominated can nominate seven (lucky number) other bloggers.
  • Anybody nominated answers three questions.
  • The questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions.
  • If any of the questions asked are offending or the nominee simply does not want to answer them, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award.

Now, on to the questions…

What scent reminds you of home?

Okay, there are a lot. My family used to move around a lot, so we have lots of different “homes”. But two are the smell of my mom’s homemade bread and the smell of clean laundry.

Sunrise or sunset, and why?

Sunrise because it is the beginning of a new day. Who doesn’t like new beginnings? “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it.” -L.M. Montgomery

The most stressful season?

I think this is probably everyone’s, but, Christmas. Not because I don’t like the holiday spirit and the celebration of Jesus’ birthday, but because the presents thing. Ugh! I love giving and have a hard time staying on top of everything. However, Christmas season isn’t so stressful that I don’t enjoy it. It still is my favorite season/holiday.

Keep in mind, this isn’t personal to other bloggers, nor am I disrespecting the rules of the award.

Introverted Thoughts has some if the most thought-provoking musings I have ever seen. Well done!!

Questions for my Blue Cat Blue Sky Award nominee:

  • Is there something or someone that has motivated you/inspired you to dig deep into emotional, moral, or mental dilemmas that causes you to end up with such inspirational posts? (Comprehendo, amiga? Sorry, I’m bad at explaining things. ;))
  • (You do not have to answer these next two questions if you wish.) What is the number 1 thing in life that drives you forward?

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you weren’t nominated but still want to answer the questions, go ahead! If you end up doing so, tag me so I can see your answers. Thanks for reading! God bless!

  2. I totally relate to being afraid to post certain write ups. I have 8 works in my trash folder now 😂 But please know that we’ll always be here to read whatever you write. We’re all different and I think we’ll accordingly interpret everything in our own manner.
And thank you so much for nominating me, Millay! I am touched you think my blog is making an impact 💕
